What You’ll Do
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will use your advances expertise to design and implement embedded software for the Telos robotic platform. As one of the key members of the software team, you will contribute to the development and verification of the infrastructure software. You’ll work closely with a cross-functional team to implement and test software solutions based on clinical and user requirements.

Salary Range: $178,000 – 195,000 annually

What You’ll Do
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will use your advances expertise to design and implement embedded software for the Telos robotic platform. As one of the key members of the software team, you will contribute to the development and verification of the infrastructure software. You’ll work closely with a cross-functional team to implement and test software solutions based on clinical and user requirements.
- Drive the design, implementation, and verification of embedded software for our robotic platform
- Lead the implementation and test solutions in a production software environment
- Collaborate with EE team during board bring up and debugging
- Partner with other engineers (software, controls, system, hardware) as part of a focused cross-functional team developing software for a medical application.
- Find solutions based on the understanding of user needs, clinical needs & customer input requirements to drive software development
- Provide a key role in in development of the software testing and simulation environment
- Lead design discussions and code reviews
What You’ll Bring:
- BS in Engineering with a focus in software, controls, or robotics and 8 years of working experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 5+ years of embedded software development experience
- Proficiency with C/C++ and Python
- Experience with multi-threaded applications and event driven architectures
- Experience with real-time operating systems (QNX, ThreadX, or similar) and with hardware/software integration
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Experience with CAN, I2C, & SPI and developing software for robotics desired
- Inter-process communication for real-time systems and experience developing software for safety-critical applications desired
- Software development of microcontrollers and working in an Agile development environment desired
