Why Telos Health?
At Telos Health, an Imperative Care company, we are developing novel robotic-assisted technologies and interventional capabilities that will forever change the disparate outcomes of ischemic stroke – a disease that impacts close to a million people a year in the U.S., and 10 million worldwide.  Not only is Telos changing the way stroke is treated, but also bringing this treatment to the greater population who is currently without. We are actively building a team who is focused on developing novel solutions for this complex disease – a disease in which one in four adults will face in their lifetime.

What You’ll Do
As a technical support specialist in Hardware, the Principal Electrical Technician is part of the R&D team focused on developing the next generation of robotic products for Telos Health. This position will troubleshoot, repair, and complete failure analysis of complex electronic assemblies to the component level.  This role is expected to utilize electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum and logic analyzers, multimeters and power supplies to isolate failures on printed circuit boards and determine their root cause.  Work is performed closely with engineers and other personnel in building test fixturing for use in both R&D and manufacturing applications and in design verification design activities that comply with regulatory requirements of the FDA, UL, and TUV (specifically those related to IEC, EMC, CISPR, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot complex PCAs at the component level (microcontrollers, op-amps, discrete analog and digital circuitry) using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, function generators, and custom test setups.
  • Perform rework and hands-on tasks such as soldering components, cable crimping, circuit board level rework, breadboarding.
  • Investigate system, sub-assembly, and fixture failures and execute root cause analysis.
  • Execute engineering-level testing, including data collection for design of experiments, device characterization, and verification and validation support.
  • Contribute to NPI builds, electronics programming, test validation, and debug support to help shake out early-phase design issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, test, and quality engineers to identify and correct process defects.
  • Train or mentor junior technicians and contribute to cross-training initiatives
  • Document all work thoroughly in electronic notebooks or Confluence.
  • Assist engineers with board bring-up, test, and debug of newly designed printed circuit boards.

What You’ll Bring:
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience in component-level troubleshooting of analog/digital PCAs; or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • A.S. degree in Electronics, Electronics Engineering, Technology or related military training/education and experience preferred.
  • High degree of technical expertise and skilled in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, fabrication and assembly drawings, and multi-layer printed circuit board layouts for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Expert proficiency using oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Specialized experience in root cause analysis, failure investigations, and structured problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated skills in soldering, rework, and mechanical/electromechanical repair.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred experience in regulated environments (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, or defense)
  • Experience with motor control for robotics applications is desired.
  • Experience with Altium Designer and Autodesk Eagle software suites and familiarity with scripting languages or basic test script modification are preferred.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
